During NYC's gay pride weekend, I found myself spending Saturday evening watching the sunset at Gantry Plaza State Park. I should be out partying! This beautiful park is in Long Island City, Queens. I left my apartment around 7:30 pm, took the N then switched to 7 and got off on Vernon-Jackson Street. The park is one long block away from the station. Surprisingly, the neighborhood is pretty quiet and calm. It instantly become one of my favorite spots in NYC! Below are the pics that I had taken. Technically, I didn't get to see the "sunset" in action...the pictures will tell you why. Per my canon memory card, I had taken 127 shots but only a few were worthy to be posted to this blog. Lol. That's all I did - took pictures for about 2 hours. One thing to look forward to is that the next time I come back to this park, I plan to sit on one of the benches and contemplate about life (of course, what else do I do?). Haha! Enjoy the pics. Btw, I love how the Empire State Building is honoring gay pride with its colors! Happy Pride!
