Last Day of Year 2012

New Year's Eve!

Saw Les Miserables this afternoon.  Loved it!  My favorite scene was when Eponine and Marius sang A Little Fall of Rain.  Tears!  I wanted Marius to end up with Eponine, not Cozette.  It is what it is --just like life outside the movies.  Haha!

For the first time, ESB was like a disco building.  Normally, the building's lights changes its colors and they're steady but not tonight.  They were flickering and dancing!  Check out the video.

2012 Rewind

A picture compilation of my 2012.  I tried to incorporate videos with photos but I wasn't successful. Note to self: need to learn how to do that in 2013.  Here's part 1.  For some copyright reason, I'm not able to post part 2 here but I can give you the link at least -> 2012 Rewind part 2.  Enjoy!

The Perks of being a Wallflower

I saw this movie last Friday night and I loved it!  This is the third movie that I saw by myself.  Yes, I am a loner sometimes.  It's hard to find people with similar taste so I end up checking things out by myself.  Anyway, I have yet to read the book but I fucking love this movie!  This film is about high school and its outcasts.  The acting and portrayal of the characters were simply amazing!  We can all relate to these "wallflowers" because it tackles many issues such as drugs, sex, bullying and mental illness but it surely illustrates the beauty of friendship and love.  Go see it.  Go own it.  You'll be glad you did!

Sunset at Hudson River

Last Sunday, July 1st, after going to church, I walked down towards the West Side Highway along side Hudson river and watched the sunset. Below are the pictures that I've taken.  I edited a few to make it artsy and professional (ha!) but I started to play around with all the available options in Picasa 3 and now I'm sleepy and tired.  Way to go, Greggles!  Anyways, I better post dem pics up before saying nighty-night.

Gantry Plaza State Park

During NYC's gay pride weekend, I found myself spending Saturday evening watching the sunset at Gantry Plaza State Park.   I should be out partying!  This beautiful park is in Long Island City, Queens.  I left my apartment around 7:30 pm, took the N then switched to 7 and got off on Vernon-Jackson Street.  The park is one long block away from the station. Surprisingly, the neighborhood is pretty quiet and calm.  It instantly become one of my favorite spots in NYC!  Below are the pics that I had taken.  Technically, I didn't get to see the "sunset" in action...the pictures will tell you why.  Per my canon memory card, I had taken 127 shots but only a few were worthy to be posted to this blog.  Lol.  That's all I did - took pictures for about 2 hours.  One thing to look forward to is that the next time I come back to this park, I plan to sit on one of the benches and contemplate about life (of course, what else do I do?).  Haha!  Enjoy the pics.  Btw, I love how the Empire State Building is honoring gay pride with its colors!  Happy Pride!
